PADI Advanced Openwater Course

PADI Advanced Openwater is your second course and allows you to experience the real adventure of Scuba Diving with the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course. You will expand on your diving knowledge and skills by trying some of diving’s most rewarding and exciting speciality areas such as the 2 core dives in Deep diving and Navigation diving.

With your instructor you then pick 3 additional elective dive areas that interest you, such as Wreck diving, Peak Performance Buoyancy diving, Dry Suit diving and Boat diving.

You will upgrade your depth rating with the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course to 30 metres (21 metres for Juniors) and gain access to some of the world’s best wrecks and reefs.

Course Pre-requisites

  • PADI Open Water Diver  or Junior Open Water Diver  (or qualifying certification from another organization)
  • Be medically fit to dive, please carefully read the medical declaration below
  • Pre-study course manual and fill in review sections before course start

Minimum age

  • 12 years (12 to 14 year olds will be certified as Junior Advanced Open Water Diver)

Course Fee: £215.00

What’s included?

  • Padi Adventures in Diving Manual
  • Life time certification
  • Use of all the expensive scuba equipment (suit, weights, cylinders, BCD and regulator)

Sold separately: course £189 and manual £26

What’s not included?

  • Transport to dive sites
  • Dive site fees, typically start at £15 per day at Vobster Quay, Frome
  • Basic equipment for open water dives: mask, snorkel, fins and boots (gloves from October to May)

Specialty upgrades

For one extra dive during the PADI Advanced Open Water Course you can upgrade elective dives Peak Performance Buoyancy or Dry Suit to the full specialty course at a reduced rate.

Notes

All Open Water days start from Andark at 8am and finish 6pm (approximately).  A minimum of 3 people is required for a course to run, unless otherwise stated.

Personal tuition may be available, ask for details and prices.  Group booking discounts are also available.  Andark supports equal opportunities – if you have any special requirements, please get in touch with us.  The IAHD Course for the Disabled is now available – please contact us.
