Summer Camp Bravo
Andark generouslysponsored all the T-shirts for Christian Youth Enterprises Sailing Centre’s(C.Y.E.s.c.) camp ‘Bravo’.
CYE is a multi-activity residentialcentre which caters for children, young people and adults of all abilities. We are a Christiancharitable organisation, committed to the delivery of safe,challenging and professionally-run activity programmes. Our particular passion and expertise centres on watersports and, as arecognised Royal Yachting Association Training Centre and British Canoe Union Approved Centre, we make the most of our privileged location in the stunningsurroundings of Chichester Harbour.
Bravo is for young people aged 11-14. They get involved in sailing,raft building, kayaking, canoeing, archery, football, assault course plus manymore activities including lots of flour, mud and serious amounts of fun. Everyyear the activities are based around the theme of the camp. This year’s themewas ‘Total Wipeout’. This providedmany opportunities for organised mayhem! Highlights were the mud assaultcourse, no one came away looking good… or clean! We had CYE’s first Grand Prixwon by the Reds and our very own version of ‘Total Wipeouts’ big red balls! The competition was intense between the teams, but blue teameventually triumphed after a slow start, by 1 point overall to claim victory! All in all abrilliant week of fun, fellowship, friends, food, mud and lots of laughter!
There's plenty of time to chill out in the evening, around a camp fire, or just to enjoythe company of old and new friends. We always have an inspirational speaker whowill give talks each day, encouraging, challenging and hopefully inspiringyoung people about the Gospel message.
