First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries

Serious hazardous marine life injuries are rare, but most divers experience minor discomfort from unintentional encounters with fire coral, jellyfish and other marine creatures. This course teaches divers to minimize these injuries and reduce diver discomfort and pain.

Prerequisite qualifying courses

  • None – Divers and non-divers welcome, however CPR and First Aid are recommended.

Minimum age

  • None

What the course covers

  • First aid techniques for a suspected hazardous marine life injury.
  • Introduce divers to the identification of potentially hazardous marine life.
  • How to avoid hazardous marine life injuries.

Use of normal scuba gear appropriate for the circumstances.
