The Sport Diver course provides students with the necessary knowledge and skills required to dive safely in an open water environment under direct supervision of a Diving Professional to a maximum depth of 12 metres.
Because of the wide variety of disabilities that one may encounter when training disabled divers and as all training is performance based, achievement of all, or part of the required objectives will determine the added safety measures that will be required for the individual.

What the course covers
You’ll learn the fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques. You will then complete several pool dives until all the requirements are met. There are then three qualifying dives conducted at a suitable (and safe) open water training site.
Use of normal scuba gear appropriate for the circumstances.

- Site entrance fee: There is an entrance fee for open water dives requiring entry to an inland site, payable daily by the student. Current fees: Horsea Island: £10.00.
- Mask, snorkel, boots and fins (Gloves are also recommended). Student discounts available on all these items in the Andark shop.
- Submit a copy of a medical examination stating that the individual is fit for diving. The examination must be conducted within the past 12 months.
