PADI Open Water Referral

The Open Water Referral course is designed for students holidaying abroad, and covers the 3-day pool and theory elements of the 5-day Open Water Course.

Having completed the Open Water Referral course, you can than complete the four dives of the open water part of the course whilst you are abroad. These dives must be completed within 12 months.

The 3 days of pool and theory either take place at Andark, or can be be completed with Home Study.

What the course covers

You’ll learn the fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques.

You’ll earn this rating by completing five pool dives and knowledge development sessions at Andark and complete the course at a suitable PADI Dive Centre abroad. If you are unable to complete when away, please contact us upon your return.

What it will cost and what you'll need

  • Course Fee: £169.00
  • Manual: £24.95 (reduced from £32.55 when bought alongside course)
  • Log Book: From £11.95.
  • Site entrance fee: There is an entrance fee for open water dives requiring entry to an inland site, payable daily by the student. Current fees: Horsea Island: £8.00, Stoney Cove £15.00. Boat fees, where applicable, start at £15.00 per dive.
  • Mask, Snorkel, Boots and Fins (Gloves are also recommended for the winter months). Student discounts available on all these items in the Andark shop.
  • Children under 12 MUST attend a video evening with a parent or guardian before attending a PADI course - fee £15.

Notes

All courses run from 9am to 5:30pm (approximately) and a minimum of 3 people is required for a course to run, unless otherwise stated.

  1. Phone us to check the availibility of the course that you have chosen, and the dates you wish to attend.
  2. Download and complete the booking form, and return to us by post.
  3. Download and complete the medical declaration form, and return to us by post.
