PADI Equipment Specialist

Whether it's a regulator problem, a wet suit tear or a broken mask strap, the Equipment Specialist course can help. This Specialty course prepares you for the basic equipment maintenance, care and adjustments you'll encounter every day. In addition, you'll get the valuable background on equipment repair and purchase, making you better able to protect your investment.

Minimum age

  • 10 years.

What the course covers

  • During your PADI Equipment Specialist program, you'll familiarise yourself with the operation and maintenance of your personal equipment. Your instructor might also provide the opportunity to review new or unfamiliar dive equipment.
  • The program is not an equipment repair program but it does give you:
  • Theory, principles and operation of dive equipment
  • Routine recommended care and maintenance procedures
  • Common problems with equipment and recommended professional maintenance procedures
  • Simple suggestions for comfortable equipment configurations and an introduction to new equipment
  • The Equipment Specialist is a half day or evening course

What it will cost, and what you'll need

  • Course Fee: £50.00
  • Manual: Scuba Equipment: Care and Maintenance - £15.00 (reduced from £16.95 if bought alongside the course)
  • Proof of qualification and experience, (log book and cards), must be provided on day one of the course.
  • Children under 12 MUST attend a video evening with a parent or guardian before attending a PADI course - £15.00

This course is generally run during an evening or 1/2 day and a minimum of 3 people is required for a course to run, unless otherwise stated.
