PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy

If you want to fine-tune your buoyancy and soar over reefs, extend bottom time by reducing air consumption and prolong the life of your dive equipment, the Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course is for you.

The course aims to polish buoyancy control skills beyond that of the PADI Open Water Diver.

  • 10 years

What the course covers

  • During your Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course, you'll use PADI's Basic Weighting Guidelines to determine the correct amount of weight. Then you'll practice the fundamentals of peak performance buoyancy during two open water dives, including the buoyancy check, fine-tuning buoyancy underwater, weight positioning for trim, streamlining and visualization.
  • This one day course includes two open water dives.

What it will cost, and what you'll need

  • Course Fee: £99.00
  • Site entrance fee: There is an entrance fee for open water dives requiring entry to an inland site, payable daily by the student. Current fees: Horsea Island: £10.00, Stoney Cove £15.00. Boat fees, where applicable, start at £15.00 per dive.
  • Mask, Snorkel, Boots and Fins (Gloves are also recommended for the winter months). Student discounts available on all these items in the Andark shop.
  • Medical Declaration (details on Course Booking and Payment page)
  • Proof of qualification and experience, (log book and cards), must be provided on day one of the course.
  • Children under 12 MUST attend a video evening with a parent of guardian before attending this course. Cost £15.00.

Notes

All courses run from 9am to 5:30pm (approximately) and a minimum of 3 people is required for a course to run, unless otherwise stated.
